How are monograms normally placed? TOP

• The most common monogram design is the 3 letter monogram with Last name initial in the center with the first name on the left and middle or maiden name on the right.WLB
• When 3 letter monograms are done using same size lettering, the monogram would read just as the name...Susie Jane Medlin....SJM   This is customary for Block lettering,  very small monograms and for a man's block style monogram.  Monograms will be stitched with the center letter as the larger initial for all Fonts except Block unless instructed otherwise.  All monograms are done in the order they are typed.

• For wedding gifts or gifts including both husband and wife's initials, it all depends on the etiquette book you read!  Traditionally, many folks say linens are monogrammed with the initials of the lady of the house.  "Emily Post" adheres to the rule "Ladies first"  with Ladies first name initial, Married last name initial-larger in center, and Husabands first name initial on the right.  Some references state the man's first name initial goes on the left, the couple's last name initial in the center and the wife's first name initial on the right as in Mr & Mrs. ....that one's easy to remember...the Lady is ALWAYS right! :)   As one can see, it really is personal preference and most people will monogram a couples initials the way their mom says is correct.  Of course, rules are made to be broken and who listens to mom anyway...so at LilyPad, we stick with the "Emily Post" reccomendation of ladies first unless otherwise requested!

• PLEASE be specific in how you want your monograms stitched.  Monograms will be done in the order they are typed by the customer when the order is placed.  If the initials are typed LBG, monogram will be stitched with the center letter as the larger initial for all Fonts except Block unless instructed otherwise.  Block lettering is stitched same size.  If  you prefer all letters same height with any other font please instruct for it to be completed in that manner.  Spindle Font is all upper case and used primarily for 3 letter monograms.

When will my order ship? TOP

Normal ship time is within 7- 14 business days unless otherwise noted. Custom designed items may take longer however we strive to deliver all products in a timely manner.  If a product cannot be shipped within 2 weeks, we will contact you by email with expected date of delivery.  We offer 2 day express shipping - for monogrammed items, please allow 2 -3 business days for item to be monogrammed plus a 2 day shipping time via UPS. Free shipping not available at express rate. During the holiday season, times may be longer than usual.  Please contact us to verify if an item is eligible for express shipping during this time of year.  Jewelry and some specialty items can not be ordered for express delivery.  Orders ship by either UPS or USPS Priority Mail depending on location and time for delivery.  Some areas arrive more quickly with USPS Priority Mail.

What is your return policy? TOP

• We will gladly accept returns for non-monogrammed items if you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason.  We will refund the price of the item minus shipping charges.  Please contact us within 7 days for return instructions.

  Shipping and handling on returned merchandise is non-refundable.

  PLEASE NOTE THAT PERSONALIZED ITEMS AND ITEMS IN THE "SALE/LAST ONE LEFT" CATEGORY ARE NON-RETURNABLE/NON-REFUNDABLE. FINAL SALE ONLY 

•  Personalized items are non-returnable unless an error is made by LilyPad.  Please be specific with your initial placement.  We request that you type your initials in the order you want the monogrammed.  For example, if your name is Ashley Michelle Barber and you want a traditional 3 letter monogram, type your initials to be monogrammed as ABM.  Monograms are sewn in the order they are typed.  If an error is made in your monogram and it's our mistake, we will gladly replace it at no charge if contacted within 7 days of purchase. If the item is no longer available, we will either refund your money or you may choose another item of equal value. Shipping charges are non-refundable 
• We strive to produce quality products with exceptional workmanship and want our customers to be happy with their purchases.  Word of mouth advertising from satisfied customers is the best there is!

Do you offer gift wrapping? TOP
We offer gift wrapping in our Signature Lime Green gift bags with hot pink, white or bright blue tissue and coordinating bows.  We will also be happy to add a gift card enclosure with your package.  Items specified as gifts will ship with a gift receipt only...no prices showing.  You may purchase gift wrapping upon checkout at a nominal $3.00 charge.  Specify your gift package instructions in the text box at checkout.

What if I have a special request ? TOP
We always strive to meet the needs of our customers.  We are an embroidery shop and have several designs available.  If you have a special request for a product or design not shown on our website, please contact us via email...chances are we can accomodate your request.

Where will the monogram be added on the Stephen Joseph Backpack? TOP

The monogram will either be placed on the bag itself or on the top flap based on the design of the bag. Some bags with designs on the flap closure do not have adequate space for names, especially long ones.  If you have a preference on where the name is placed, please include this, however be advised that the monogram may be very small on flaps with designs.
